Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled is organising a series of events across three US cities featuring Dr. Kumar Vishwas to raise funds in support of persons with disabilities.
The New Jersey programme is scheduled for October 25, 2026, while a special meet-and-greet with Dr. Vishwas will take place on October 24 in Hicksville, New York.
Dr. Kumar Vishwas rose to national prominence through his Hindi poetry performances, which have attracted large audiences across India and abroad. He also made headlines for his association with the Aam Aadmi Party and his subsequent political differences with the party.
The upcoming Ram Katha programmes aim to combine spiritual inspiration with social responsibility, encouraging audiences to connect with the teachings of the Ramayana while supporting a meaningful cause.
The events are being organised by Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, founded by Dr. Mahantesh G.K., who has lived with visual impairment since childhood. Despite the challenges he faced, Dr. Mahantesh went on to establish an organisation dedicated to empowering persons with disabilities through education, sports, livelihood opportunities and rehabilitation.
